The Natural Speed Bumps in Parenting

Jan 13, 2015 / General

Speed bumps on the road are designed to slow us down. In the same way, as we speed through life, there are natural speed bumps that tell us that we need to slow down, take notice and focus on our relationships with others…especially our kids. Here are a couple of bumps we should be on the lookout for. First, there’s often a speed bump when our kids hit puberty. As their bodies and minds change, we must slow down and make sure that they know that our love for them is unchanging and unconditional. Second, there may be a speed bump when our kids start dating. Slow down and make sure they know how to have healthy relationships. Listen in to my full podcast for more on the speed bumps in parenting.
