Is your child heading to college this fall?

Then you'd better get busy. There are some money matters you need to cover before you send junior out the door. Make sure he knows how to balance a checkbook and understands the trap of credit card interest. If he has a student loan, explain what those payments will look like after college. Help him set up a budget and encourage him to track his spending. These financial lessons help during college and in the real world after graduation. In addition to finances, make sure he knows how to cook a few basic meals, do laundry without turning his socks pink, and live peacefully with a roommate.
