Now that school is in full swing again, you may notice that your child is starting to experience some pressure.  Children often feel socially and emotionally stressed through school.  As parents, we should look for ways to help them learn how to cope with stress in healthy ways.  Set a good example in how you handle stress.  If your children are fearful about something, listen to their concerns, and share how you handled a similar situation.  If they’re overwhelmed about their schoolwork, teach them a healthy process for breaking assignments down and completing them one at a time.  Most of all, be sensitive to your child’s sense of normal, and be quick to intervene.  To help you get started, here are 6 time management skills to teach your kids. And be sure to reinforce the importance of play for your kids as well.
